Summer 2011 Registration Forms
The Vostrikov's Academy of Ballet (VAB), located in historic downtown Winchester, VA, has been offering professional training to students of all ages since 1982. During the summer break, special summer classes are offered for a variety of ages, both for introduction to the dance and for maintaining skills and technique. All classes are offered at the studio (see the Summer Class schedule for specific details).
Our Summer session offers Ballet and Jazz classes to children of all ages. Pointe is introduced for ages 9 and 10; for continuing pointe students, Pointe classes are offered to advanced classes age 11 and up who are already on Pointe. Also for dancers ages 11 and up, there are opportunities to explore Lyrical dance and variations, which widen the young dancer's experience.
This year, we are pleased to offer Yoga for ages 9 and up, as well as Acting and Stage Makeup Techniques for children and youth ages 11 and up. These classes are new, and are being offered to allow our dancers to be introduced to and grow in areas not often available to young dancers.
Our experienced instructors provide motivation to improve and advance while being sensitive to individual abilities and needs. This summer, our hope is to enhance and expand your child's dance and performance abilities, skills, strength and flexibility, while enjoying a more relaxed, summer atmosphere.
