Jennifer Turman Bayliss
Instructor/Choreographer for Pre-Ballet and Beginning Tap
Mrs. Turman Bayliss earned a Bachelor of Arts from Shenandoah Conservatory, 1999, and a Bachelor of Science from Shenandoah University, 2001. She is a Yoga Alliance 200 level Registered Yoga Teacher, with special recognition in children’s yoga and prenatal yoga. She is also a Radiant Child Yoga Teacher and was invited to be a presenter in the Teacher Training for RCYT in 2010.
Professionally, Jennifer has been adjunct faculty teaching yoga to more than 800 students at Shenandoah University since 2003. She was also the assistant coach for Shenandoah University’s dance and cheer squads 2001-2005.
Ms. Jennifer has been teaching Pre-Ballet and Beginning Tap classes at Vostrikov’s since 2005 and absolutely loves it! Ms. Jennifer loves young children, and has a passion for seeing them be allowed to be children while learning to express themselves through dance.
Mrs. Turman Bayliss has been sharing her love of dance for the last 20 years with all ages and populations. In addition, she is currently the owner and director of the Sunshine Studio, LLC, where she has taught all manner of movement classes to very young children (and sometimes their parents), school age children, and adult students. These classes have included Mommy (or Daddy) and Me, ballet, yoga, Pilates, tap, creative movement, jazz, and more. These classes have been in cooperation with Winchester Montessori School, Frederick County Parks and Recreation, Plan Bee and Beads and Child’s Play, to name a few. For the last four years, Jennifer has also been a youth leader for the 4H Young Performer’s Club, where she has assisted young performers with creative movement, choreography, and dramatic performance technique for a variety of performances. She has also contracted privately as a yoga trainer for adults, as well as for children’s ballet birthday parties.
Jennifer lives here in Winchester, Virginia with her wonderful husband, Brian, two fabulous daughters, Jenavieve and Rachel, 3 dogs and 2 cats.
