Our Mission:
To provide community education and opportunity in the art of dance.The Virginia Youth Ballet (VYB) is a non-profit 501(c)3 dance company, associated with the Vostrikov's Academy of Ballet, that provides the community with educational and cultural programs in the art of dance. Founded by Gennadi and Susan Vostrikov in 1989, the VYB contributes to the cultural life of the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding areas and provides dancers with the opportunity to view the possibilities of a professional career in dance, and to experience the inherent, lifelong rewards of the art of ballet and dance.
What is the Annual Auction?
This event, held each Spring at the Braddock Street United Methodist Church in Winchester, Virginia, is the primary fundraising event for the Virginia Youth Ballet. This dynamic event includes Silent and Live Auctions, 50/50, Peanut Gallery drawings, Mystery Boxes, as well as an outstanding performance by the Virginia Youth Ballet dancers. Each year, approximately 200 individuals attend the Annual Auction to support the Virginia Youth Ballet. VYB is supported solely by private donations - from individuals and businesses - as well as local grants.
As a non-profit organization, the Virginia Youth Ballet depends on the generosity of our community. Cash donations and/or auction items are graciously accepted. For our Annual Auction, we welcome any items you wish to contribute. Nothing is too small!!! All donations to VYB are tax-deductible. To donate, please use this form.
